Who am I?
I am a professional, who works with kids and families, which I enjoy and find it fulfilling, some days are draining while others bring joy.
I have a calm, quiet, personality. I tend to watch and listen in groups. I like sarcasm, word plays, and joking with friends. I can be pretty silly, and I am not afraid to laugh at myself. I am pretty intelligent and think outside of the box. I think for myself, don’t usually accept something just because someone said so. When I become interested in something, I like to know a lot about it, so I understand it.
For hobbies and leisure, I enjoy motorcycle rides, walks, reading, playing games, and hanging with friends. I love film: independent, action, adventure, sci-fi, horror, drama... films that have some emotional charge, are well done, say something, leave you raw when they are done; as well as those films that are just for fun. My musical tastes range from Metal/Industrial/Goth/Punk... to Ambient, electronica... to Medieval/Renaissance. Nearly a year ago, I started playing bass guitar. I took it up to learn something new, and have found playing music opens up so many ways of seeing the world. Thus my musical tastes have broadened and now I enjoy the Blues and Jazz. I recently started playing the upright bass, which is such a wonderful, physical, sensual, instrument.
Spiritually, I have traveled down a number of roads, gone around in circles many times. Now, I prefer just traveling, not worrying about the destination. Buddhism, Tantra, Taoism, Quakers, inform my thoughts and practice. Politically, I am Left of Center, think that our country is in a period of darkness, our democracy is under attack.
Who I'd like to meet:
I am looking for a friend and companion to share life with. I prefer women who are fairly self-aware, communicative, strong, intelligent, creative and in reasonable shape. She would also share many similar interests as I, and loves being with a man. She would also be monogamous and very physically affectionate, i.e. holding hands while walking down the street; quick kisses in the doorway, hopping in my lap.

Blues: Eric Clayton is a great blues man, as is Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters. Joe Nemeth, is a more modern, blend of rockabilly and blue singer who is both fun and talented.
