Rules for Licensed Decorators
As a Licensed Decorator you are held to a high standard of professionalism as you have been assessed and verified as being proficient in virtual decorating by a Certified Tutor from UtherAcademy, and you are representing and being endorsed by Utherverse®. You have been given additional Prop Edit tools and scripts and can be given decorator permissions in public areas and Utherverse regions.
If you do not abide by the guidelines outlined below, your Licensed Decorator Badge and advanced tools may be removed by Utherverse®, and further appropriate action against your associated accounts will be considered.
General Rules
All prop editing for Utherverse public regions has to be done in clones created for that purpose. URLs will be sent to all licensed decorators when the option becomes available. Clones are published 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays around 12:00pm, so please work around this schedule to make sure incomplete work doesn't go live.
Guidelines for propping in Utherverse public areas
- Design must work within confines of existing building (ie. No false walls to increase size, alter shape etc)
- Design must work with the look and feel of the street.
- No flash, animation, or any other scripts that are known for causing lag.
- All images/textures must be appropriately sized, no blurred images.
- Signage must convey a professional look at all times
- No hardcore, trademarked, copyright protected or offensive material is permitted.
- Props must be kept to a minimum and always be touching the existing store front (ie. No carpets that extend, or props positioned away from the building)
- Keep all designs streamlined, neatness is key – sloppy work will not be permitted on storefronts.
- Hardcoded vww URLs or any other porting scripts or plugins are strictly forbidden
- Cloning, moving or changing setting on any existing props in a region is strictly forbidden
- Only work on areas that have been pre-approved
- If any of the above Rules are violated, permissions to decorate in the public region will be immediately revoked which may also include your status of a licensed decorator. Any decorator found to be tampering with links, or moving unauthorized material is subject to immediate penalties which can/will include immediate removal of license.
